Yea AI art either looks too shiny all most like latex or weird pixelation around mouths, hair, fingers, claws and ESPECIALLY teeth. Another tale tell sign is wires, hair and other things that make no sense where they go and how they transition from one point to its end point, essentially just melts together.

All artists should provide proof of their work from sketch to lines to colouring process (and not those dumb videos of ai art being erased then reveresed) which shouldn't be hard if your art is real and rendered by a humam.

unfortunately i dealt with an artist that made me late on my own debut, they had told me it would take 2 months to make, which i was okay with, after two months i asked how the art was going, i got an answer 2 weeks later, telling me it should be done in about 2 weeks, i let it go, after 8 months of getting back and forth trying to see progress and all that i started getting annoyed, so i asked them to give a deadline for themself, the told me october and asked me if i minded if they could practice rigging on it for free, i was like "thats fine so long as i make my debut date which HE set. 1 week before debut, he had not even started rigging, so i got annoyed, i was late to that, and then once i FINALLY got my model, there was no expressions, which he said it came with 5. utterly disapointed.

Update - The Pokemon Company just released a statement that confirms that some entries violated the contest rules and will be disqualifying them. They have not yet specified who will be removed from the top 300 and the alleged artwork is still on the contest website. But at least the company is moving forward with finding real artists to replace the AI entries.

They don't necessarily have to found exploit like you explained. What they usually do is they buy game currency from a cheaper country, because price is localized. the game that i know don't immediately ban you if they found out, they usually reduce/chargeback the in game currency, so if you already use it for skin or gacha pull, it could go negative, then if you don't pay your negative for a period of time, they finally banned you Not all of them exploit international currency tho, from what i know, they also can buy the currency cheaper by buying it bulk and some seller i know has to do with playstore currency and stuff I live in indonesia, and third party store is VERY VERY common that they even sponsored many local youtuber. from my own experience they're cheaper and reliable, but there's cases where people are actually get scammed and banned. That's why you need to compare store to store and see if it's "too good to be true" Edit: one example that i mentioned is actually genshin impact, but they also has other exploit where seller topped up and then they chargeback the bank or paypal, it resolved the same way too

Not trying to self advertise, but if you were to check out my Megaman Roll timelapse you would see that there are artists who draw in their shading and highlight lines as well. I used to do this all the time and still do it occasionally. It's especially helpful for cell shading. Not saying I don't believe they're using AI, just wanted to add that. Edit: nevermind, just got to the part where you said "people in my comments are gonna be like..." lol

I was thinking to go to Montreal Comic con, but seeing this doesn't make me wanna go... I'm going to Otakuthon tho so I HOPE they won't be there and that the real owner of the art will make it for this event.... I would gladly support them by buying merch to them if I see them

i hate to break it to you, but that first piece you showed was not traced. it was referenced. the lines fall very short of being matched up, and the lengths of limbs as well. it's more likely he did a solo reference, which is poor, yeah, but the only argument one can conjure against him for that instance is that the artist he referenced from owns the pose seen from that angle, which is a ridiculous argument. yeah, it's low quality art. no, it's not stolen. yeah, it's not his idea. no he shouldn't be punished for depicting it in his own words. shallow though they may be. bringing this into professional practice should be frowned upon, sure, but it's damaging to the art community to call artwork that is clearly not traced, traced. there is a huge difference between tracing (recreating an image) and just drawing the same pose using your own drawing skill and observation. the latter is not bad or unethical. it's just low quality and DC should probably consider replacing him.

I use various line thicknesses in my art. Full character/background scenes will look like that. But I’m still learning how to properly render lighting, so you can definitely tell it’s hand done.

I liked this video, but you did not have to give your disclaimer that you don’t make fun of artists like 10 times in this video we heard you the first time and it’s OK if anyone says anything to you they are a moron. If the first disclaimer doesn’t stop them then saying it a bunch of other times isn’t going to prevent them from leaving a dumb comment.

I can’t deny that it’s deffo AI art, but with the ears and the clouds, I draw ears the same way, nobody has perfect symmetrical ears, and depending on the character, I’ll draw ears with certain differences and/or definess. And with clouds, I literally don’t know how to draw a decent cloud sequence… Although that art is 100% AI, I’m just saying that many people will have inconsistencies in their art. Even some of the most amazing artists make some mistakes. (I am NOT defending AI art, I’m just saying there are some things that actual artists forget to do or do wrong as well, nobody is perfect. AI art should be banned tho fr.)

So I am a traditional artist as well and mainly do pencil drawing and gouache. Just recently I got myself an iPad to learn digital art. I do use AI but ONLY to reference. I get a lot of pose inspiration and anatomy help (cause I'm horrible at it) but that's it. And that's how AI should be used. Not drawn over, just referenced!

honestly i get this is obviously fake and not their art but the lighting problems and some of the lines in the bow could definitely be a new/confused artist making mistakes

For the Pikachu in the Stadium - do you really a human would be lazy enough to just do blurry blobs for a "crowd of people" in the midground, but then do a perfect silhouette in the background where there logically wouldn't even be seats? Also can we acknowledge that under the lights there's like banners or something and on the right side it looks like some logo with a charizard.. but then on the left side it looks... phalic.

Artists should just take ai images as reference or just straight up trace the images or use them as backgrounds lmao, with fixes and tweaks of course, steal their "art" too, see how they like it lol It ain't stealing if AI stole those art styles anyway

The tail on the eevee with the drowning lovediscs also looks like it was strangely moved from underwater to above water without lifting the back end of the eevee to show it was going in. Ai doing weird stuff with their weird color images. Oh! Also on a video i saw before- you can color drop the picture and see it's just a bunch of random colors mashed together that dont need to be together to make the piece. So- yeah ai art for even more reasons!

Standard MMO ToS stuff state that buying/selling currency from unauthorized dealers is a bannable offense. Sorry, but I'm going to go with Riot on this one. Unless you absolutely are not able to get the currency in your country for whatever reason normally, there is basically no reason for these unauthorized dealers to exist There's a similar thing with buying/selling accounts. Basically, accounts get stolen, people get scammed, account ownership becomes incredibly dubious if there are various emails/log-ins along with purchases from different sources -- the people running the game don't want to deal with that confusing mess of BS, so they'll rather straight up ban the practice and be allowed to throw the entire thing away rather than mediate and untangle the thread of what belongs to who
